Procrastinators Guide to (Finally) Taking Down Holiday Decor

Yes, shame me if you must. I just took down my Christmas tree this weekend. I have plenty of reasons to justify it though. Largely because I was away for the holidays and out of my apartment for two weeks so I didn’t get to enjoy my tiny tree. So I figured since it was still cold outside and my $20 live tree lasted for two weeks without water (I’m still shocked) it was not quite time to take it down at the beginning of the month.

Last weekend, I took down:
-Ornaments from tree (to enjoy it one more week; just with lights)
-Holly and berries vases (DIY post here)

This weekend, I took down:
-Tree and lights (RIP)
-Jingle bell decorations
-Mini tree on the bar

A few things I decided to keep up through this winter season:
-Snowflake dish towels in kitchen (as long as there is still a chance of snow…)
-My beloved Thyme Fraser fir candles (so it can always smell like Christmas)

Finally, the items I’ve officially declared “staying for the foreseeable future”:
-Vintage disco ball ornaments in the vase on my desk
-New disco balls from CB2 I bought after Christmas on clearance- that are now in this vase as my dining table centerpiece
